We adopted Simi in May of 2010 (KHS called her Demi) and then Max in September of 2016.
Simi was adopted as a graduation gift for our oldest daughter. We were a little concerned at first as she ate a piece of furniture (the couch) and soooo many shoes. She eventually outgrew this habit and now only suckles her blankie until it resembles swiss cheese.
Max was another lucky find. We went to visit with another boy at KHS but, didn’t feel he would really “fit”. We did some looking around and there was just something about Max. We had recently lost our oldest fur baby and were looking to help the healing process. Max fit right in and had (has) so much love to give. He’s our silly oaf boy, always happy and full of energy. He doesn’t realize he’s not exactly a lap dog though.
Simi & Max are our only KHS rescues but, not our only rescues. In all we 6 fur babies to help keep us on our toes. Thank you KHS for helping us to fill our home with more love.
