JOB DESCRIPTION: Website Volunteers

GOAL: The goal of the Website Volunteers is to get the animal's pictures and basic information onto our website to increase their chances for adoption by the public. We have had a very good response to our website, especially since some people are not comfortable coming to the shelter. This is an extremely important position that does a tremendous amount to help our animals.

SUPERVISOR: Volunteer Coordinator

TIME COMMITMENT: Once per week for approximately 2-3 hrs. for a minimum of six months.

AVAILABLE TIMES: Varies, depending on area needed and days not already filled by other volunteers.

DUTIES:
Photographer:
With the help of a partner, take pictures of animals on adoption floor that have not yet had their pictures taken. Complete form for photo processing onto website. Stamp cards to indicate they are on our website.

Photo Processor: Process photos from disk and form to computer onto our website. You will be trained how to do this, but you should have some basic knowledge and experience with computers and be comfortable using a computer.

QUALIFICATIONS: Photographers must be comfortable using a camera and be willing to be patient until they can get a good picture of the animal. Must be willing to work with all types of animals. Must be comfortable with shy, active, or other types of behaviors in animals. Photo Processors must be comfortable with computers and be willing to learn how to process the pictures. There are many steps involved in processing pictures, but it is not difficult once you have done it several times. Both positions require patience and consistent commitment to your scheduled time slot. MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE.
