JOB DESCRIPTION: Special Projects Volunteer

GOAL: The goal of this position is to assist KHS staff with any emergency or special projects that come up.

SUPERVISOR: KHS Shelter Manager; Volunteer Coordinator

TIME COMMITMENT: Varies, depending on project

AVAILABLE TIMES: Varies, depending on project

DUTIES: The Special Projects Volunteer will assist in any emergency or special projects that arise. Some of these projects may include painting, groundskeeping, building maintenance, remodeling, assisting with state animals that have been brought in, taking laundry to laundromat if it gets backed up, picking up shredded paper, taking aluminum cans to recycling center, etc.

TRAINING: Completion of Volunteer Orientation, plus additional training as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have flexible schedule for times needed, have good physical agility, ability to follow directions. Other qualifications will depend on project. MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE for most special projects, but may have some exceptions.
