JOB DESCRIPTION: Dog Walking Volunteer

GOAL: The goal of the Dog Walking Volunteer is to ensure that the dogs and puppies get fresh air and exercise daily.

SUPERVISOR: Shelter Manager and Volunteer Coordinator

TIME COMMITMENT: At least 2 hours once a week for a minimum of six months.

AVAILABLE TIMES: Every day, 7am-6:30pm

DUTIES: The Dog Walking Volunteer will be walking dogs and puppies, teaching puppies socializing skills, and spot-cleaning kennels.

TRAINING: Completion of Volunteer Orientation. Completion of Canine Handling Training. Completion of Dog Walking Training.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have good physical strength and agility. Must be willing to be outside in various types of weather. MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE, OR 12 YEARS OF AGE WITH PARENT.
