Ways to Help
|
While cash donations allow us to help our animals where the need is greatest, gifts of supplies are are always welcomed. Thanks to Hill's Science Diet we no longer need donations of dog or cat food but we do need many other items to care for our pets.
Donations accepted 11 a.m. - 6:30 p.m Monday thru Saturday and 1 - 5 p.m. on Sunday. All donations are tax-deductible. For more information on donating, please contact Kristi Oberg at koberg@kshumane.org.

Help us keep our feline friends exercised and entertained, by donating a Stretch & Scratch! As a shelter volunteer, Joan Laisney saw scratch marks on cage walls and shelving by shelter cats' attempts to perform natural behaviors: stretching their muscles, scratching to clean their nails and scent mark with paws. After months of testing, Joan designed a scratcher for caged cats that is sturdy, easy to install and affordable in a tight economy. The Stretch & Scratch encourages natural behavior and provides enrichment leading to more adoptable cats.

Give our cats a comfy place to rest by donating a Kuranda cat bed. The Cat Bed provides soft, orthopedic comfort for cats and the opportunity to jump up to another level to view the world from a comfortable raised perch. The long legs create a cozy nook underneath the bed giving a shy cat a private spot perfect for napping. Through their Donate a Bed program, you can purchase a bed online through the Kuranda website and they’ll ship your gift directly to us.
