SPRING BREAK CRITTER CAMP
March 18-22, 2013
Morning Session: 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Afternoon Session: 1:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Enroll for one session, two sessions or enroll for the entire week. Activities will be different on each day while morning and afternoon content will be the same.
Spring Critter Camp Enrollment Fee is $30 for one day or $125 for all 5 days. Includes a Critter Camp T-shirt!
There is space for 15 children in each session. All activities take place at the Kansas Humane Society's state-of-the-art Murfin Animal Care Campus. Guest speakers will join us to put into practice the humane treatment of all living things.
Critter Camp is a fun way for kids to learn about animals and have lots of fun at the same time! Activities include games, skits, tours, and crafts focused on basic animal care and safety, pet training, the bond shared between people and companion animals, the importance of veterinary care and ways to address the problem of pet homelessness and overpopulation in our community. The Critter Camp curriculum is designed for children ages 7-12.

CAMPERS ENJOY:
Fun lessons that teach kids how to be safe around animals, pet
responsibility and empathy toward animals
Viewing a live spay/neuter surgery in our clinic
Walking dogs/socializing kitties
Helping the animals by doing a shelter job each day

DROP-OFF & PICK-UP:
Your child must be signed in when they arrive and signed out when they are picked up. If you are coming in the morning session, the doors will be locked when you arrive, please ring the doorbell and someone will come let you in. Please do not arrive earlier than 8:15am.

WHAT TO BRING:
Your child will be around animals and walking dogs, sneakers are the best choice. It is also suggested your child bring a hoodie or jacket to wear as appropriate for the weather.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
Open to children ages 7-12. Enrollment must be on file with the Kansas Humane Society prior to your child’s camp attendance. No child may attend without current forms and payment made.
Pre-registration is required to attend. Payment is due upon registration, payable to the Kansas Humane Society. Payment is non-refundable.
Space is limited - first come, first serve. Please do not mail your registration form or payment. You may enroll online and you will receive your registration paperwork via email. You may also register at KHS in our store.
A minimum of 5 children is required to have a session. If 5 children do not enroll, parents/guardians will be notified no less than 2 days prior to camp.
All persons authorized to pick up a child must be prepared to show I.D. (no exceptions)
