The Meet Your Match (MYM) Feline-ality Adoption Program, our new color coding method for matching cats, ages nine months and older, with adopters, is making it possible for you to know a little about a cat’s behavior before deciding to make him or her a part of your family. Finding the perfect kitty is a serious undertaking. That’s why we developed the MYM program - to help match the colors of your personality to your new friend’s feline-ality.
 Every cat has a colorful feline-ality. Every person has a colorful person-ality. The Feline-ality Adoption Program reveals both a cat’s and an adopter’s true colors so that you can make a more informed choice about the kitty you bring home.
Let’s say you are looking to find the cat of your dreams. When you come to KHS, you’ll be asked to fill out a one-page Cat Adopter Survey (PDF) - 19 questions about your lifestyle and how you envision your cat fitting in to this lifestyle. Sound kinda fun? It is - think magazine quiz, not college application. But don’t worry if you’d rather mix-and-match-adopters are not required to choose a cat with a particular feline-ality, and the assessment can prepare you for your new love’s response to her new home and help him or her adjust.

 You could be gazing at the animal of your dreams, but you just can’t tell what he or she’s thinking behind that furry face. What if you knew a little something about his or her personality and habits before you moved in together? The ASPCA’s Meet Your Match program wouldn’t let you go home without knowing who’s in that carrier or on that leash.
